I don’t normally write reviews and I’ve been putting this off for quite a while because life is hectic, but it really does need to be written so here goes… Late last year, my 90 year old grandmother fell and broke her hip, resulting in a hospital visit and then a lengthy time in rehab. The plumbing in her house hasn’t been touched for decades, so it wasn’t particularly surprising when during one of her visits to Perth, my mother found raw sewerage flowing out from underneath the house. I originally had one of the large plumbing companies come out to take a look at it, but the plumber practically had dollar signs in his eyes… the quote to fix the 80 year old riser broken by tree roots was substantial, and the calls from their sales department were frequent. I’d dealt with GWTF once or twice before through strata as an owner-occupier in a small apartment block. I’d had a good experience, so booked them in to take a look at the plumbing. The plumber who attended was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely spoke highly of GWTF’s owners. The cost for the inspection on the day was very reasonable and the subsequent quote for the riser replacement was detailed and similarly very reasonable. Naturally, after consultation with the family, I got in touch to book in the riser replacement. Time goes by, and I follow up as I haven’t heard about a date for the work. We expected to put the house on the market shortly, so any work needed to be finalised asap. I get a response from GWTF and it turns out that they think they potentially shouldn’t do the work… it actually might be the Water Corp’s job. The Water Corp did end up doing the work, with absolutely no input needed from the family. GWTF contacted them for us and worked some sort of magic! The house sold within two days of being on the market, and Nana is now happily ensconced in her new home. Go With The Flow are not only fantastic plumbers, but they do the right thing, even when it costs them thousands of dollars of business in the short term.
